The New England Society in the City of New York (NES) comprises a unique network of individuals who share an affinity for or an affiliation with New England. To be eligible for membership, applicants must demonstrate an affiliation with New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) through Ancestry, Education or Residency.

As an NES Member, your financial contribution is considered a tax-deductible donation.

Membership Categories

Individual Membership - $140
Junior Membership (under 40 years of age) - $75
Non-Resident Membership (100 miles outside of NYC) - $75
Associate Membership - $140

Firewood Circle Membership

Individual - $500 / Joint - $850
- Recognition in the NES Dinner Dance Program as a Firewood Circle Member

Pilgrim Circle Membership

Individual - $1,000 / Joint - $1,750
Includes all of the benefits of a regular NES membership, plus:
- One complimentary ticket per member to an NES event of your choice*
- Recognition in the NES Dinner Dance Program as a Pilgrim Circle Member

$100 of the Pilgrim Circle Individual Membership is non-tax-deductible. Should you elect not to take advantage of the complimentary ticket, the full amount of your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
* Event admissions excludes Founders’ Day and the Annual Dinner Dance.

Discounts to Social Events

NES holds several social events per year. Members receive preferential pricing to most, and guests are always welcome! See Calendar of Events for upcoming dates.

Brooks Brothers Merchandise Discount

NES members can register for a Brooks Brothers Membership Card which affords a 15% discount on all regularly-priced merchandise at all Brooks Brothers Retail and Factory stores nationwide as well as online and catalog orders. (Log in to MY PROFILE for benefit enrollment information.)

3 West Club, Associate Membership

NES members can enjoy Associate Membership for $275 a year and have access to dining facilities, event space rentals and guest rooms at a reduced rate. The Club is located at 3 West 51st Street. Visit the 3 West Club website for more information and contact the NES office to enroll.

Biannual Newsletter

NES prints a newsletter two times a year which is mailed to members. The newsletter provides NES news, information about scholarship recipients, reports on upcoming events, photos from previous events, and includes updates from the Board.
